Our Story

From Broncos to Bumble

Kate and Adam’s paths first crossed during Kate’s very first week at Santa Clara University. After a party, Adam and a friend walked Kate and her roommate, Molly (shoutout!), back to their dorm. Numbers were exchanged… and then promptly ignored. Over the next few years, they’d occasionally see each other around campus, share a friendly hello, and go their separate ways. Kate may have thought Adam was cute, calling him her "campus crush" to all her friends, but the universe clearly wasn’t ready to bring them together — yet. Fast forward to 2020, when both Kate and Adam were living in San Francisco and each decided to give Bumble a try. One of the first profiles to pop up for Kate was Adam's. When they matched, they realized they still had each other’s numbers saved from all those years ago — a fun twist of fate that made the reunion feel instantly familiar. Their first date was a very “Covid in the city” affair: wine and snacks in a park. They talked for hours like old friends but neither was sure if there was a spark or just nostalgia. However, it didn’t take long for Adam to make it clear where he stood — inviting Kate over for dinner, introducing her to his friends and family, and slowly winning her over completely. A few months later, they made it official on a weekend getaway to Napa for Adam's birthday. When Kate moved to Los Angeles to get her MBA, they navigated long distance for two years. That time apart only brought them closer, proving they could take on anything as a team. After Kate's graduation, they moved to Marin, brought home their Samoyed puppy, Persie, and started building a life full of tee times, travel and food adventures, hikes, and long family walks. In 2024, Adam proposed at his parents’ beautiful home in Bodega Bay — the same spot where his sister had been married. The moment was private and perfect, followed by a celebration with both of their families. Now, they’re counting down to sharing the next big celebration with all of you.
