How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
Answer
Taxi is likely the best option. There are set prices for taxis from the airport depending on how far they drive. The taxis are typically cash only so its a good idea to have some pesos with you prior to arrival. Make sure to have the hotel info with you to provide to the taxi driver. We recently visited and all of the taxi drivers knew where our hotel was located, still a good idea to save the address just in case.

Is the hotel going to be all-inclusive?
Answer
No, in Puerto Vallarta the city is based on tourism and has a nice downtown with plenty of safe dining options at affordable prices. Spending money on an all-inclusive is generally a waste of money in Puerto Vallarta. The hotel will have a restaurant onsite (breakfast is included with the room rate) and taxis are easy to get and inexpensive to get downtown.

I've heard cash is king in Mexico, is that true?
Answer
Yes, its a good idea to get some pesos from your bank prior to arrival. Most restaurants and shops take credit in Puerto Vallarta, but some do not. Also, most places will take U.S. Dollars as well but they will generally charge a higher conversion rate so it is better to pay in pesos. You can use your debit card in Puerto Vallarta at bank ATMs to get pesos as well.

How do I get to the wedding?
Answer
The wedding location is accessible only by boat that the company running the wedding provides. We will work to set up a shuttle bus to get everyone from the hotel to the marina and back so there shouldn't be any issues. Anyone that isn't staying at the hotel can still come to the hotel to get the shuttle or take a taxi to the marina.

Do I have to stay at the Costa Sur Hotel where you guys got a block of rooms?
Answer
No, you are free to stay at any place you'd like. We will set up a shuttle to the marina from Costa Sur so you would need to get to the Costa Sur hotel to catch the shuttle to the wedding. There are a ton of options in Puerto Vallarta to stay, that is completely up to you.

What is the dress code for the wedding?
Answer
It will be a beach wedding so dress accordingly. This certainly isn't a black tie event. Average high is 83 degrees and average low is 65 degrees for early April in Puerto Vallarta.

Does the hotel offer covid testing?
Answer
Yes, the hotel has an onsite company to complete the covid testing needed to get back into the US. You can schedule the test at the hotel for the day before you travel home. We just visited the last weekend of January and it was easy to schedule and only takes a few mins to complete the test. You get the results within a few hours and the test cost about $33.
