TRAIN: Pacific Surfliner ( https://www.amtrak.com/pacific-surfliner-train ) You will have to ride share to Union Station in LA then take the train to Old Town Transit center, then rideshare to hotel. Beautiful ride along the coast, so may be worth it (Our friend Tony swears by this journey!) Once in San Diego it is easiest to ride share (Lyft or UBER) or take the "slow scenic" San Diego MTS Trolley (e.g. overground)

TRAIN: https://www.amtrak.com/pacific-surfliner-train Beautiful scenic train you can take between LA and San Diego, recommend booking business class $54 or coach is fine too at $35 Biking: Bike rentals in Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, and La Jolla Shores Walking: within the beach towns they are quite walkable
