Travel Note
Temecula accommodations fall into three basic categories: 1. DOWNTOWN HOTELS: There is a main street in town with shops, restaurants, etc. Several hotels are on the north end of town just off the 15 freeway. While not inside the wine region, they are familiar chains that are convenient to town and vineyards are a 15-minute drive away. 2. VINEYARD HOTELS/INNS: There are a few boutique hotels and inns in the middle of wine valley. This is the way to immerse yourself in a wine weekend! You'll wake up to vines, rolling hills and (if you're an early bird) hot air balloons. About 15 minutes into town and to the 15 freeway. 3. AIR BNB: Most of these are in and around the vineyard area. They are a great option, especially if there are more than two of you - be warned, they book quickly! There are all types of options in the area from an elegant guest house to an avocado farm stay.
Flight
You have a few options with airports in flying to Temecula. The drive from San Diego or Ontario takes about the same time. LAX is a longer trip, but still manageable. We would recommend checking your options for cost, connection times and car rentals.
House Or Rental
These go quickly since Temecula is a popular wedding destination, but there are a lot of great options to choose from.
Hotel
For a hotel experience in the middle of a vineyard setting it doesn't get better than South Coast. They have hotel rooms, villas, a delicious restaurant, spa and pool. Not to mention you can walk through the vineyard with your coffee in the morning.
