We went here on our first date. Needless to say, we had a blast. An indoor/outdoor bar with excellent brunch and live music.
Our favorite place to picnic with an incredible view of the Dallas skyline. Grab a Zalat pizza and a blanket and find a good spot on the hill to watch the sunset! Michael proposed near Griggs and our engagement photos were taken there to commemorate all our picnic dates!
Our favorite cheap date place with $3 tacos and $5 margs. A fun patio with many dogs to pet.
Aby likes looking at the photos of outer space. Michael likes playing with the interactive engineering exhibit. Fun for the whole family! Tickets are $25 per person, we recommend purchasing ahead of time if you plan to go on Saturday.
A complex filled with small businesses and an area with giant lawn games. Check out that Dallas skyline while you sip on a dry ice margarita at Beto and Son's! We said "I love you" for the first time while on a date in Trinity!
We went here on one of our first dates! Aby made Michael laugh with her made-up stories of interpretive modern art pieces. Check out Klyde Warren Park directly across the street for a bite to eat at one of the many food trucks! While admission is free to the museum there is a $15 parking fee for the attached parking garage. Metered street parking is available throughout downtown Dallas.
Aby's favorite coffee shop owned and operated by Yemeni refugees. Grab a Yemeni latte or a pot of tea and support a local business near and dear to Aby's heart and line of work!
An artsy neighborhood filled with small shops, pop up bars, and local bites. Grab a Pig Smiley pizza at Eno's, a drink at Paradiso, and finish off the night with a slice of Smooth Operator pie at Emporium Pies!
If you are feeling a little yeehaw or want a taste of the wild west, pop over to Fort Worth! It is about a 45 minute drive from downtown Dallas to downtown Fort Worth. Walk around the stock yards, see the cattle drive, eat at Joe T Garcia's, catch a show at the rodeo, and stop by Billy Bob's, the world's largest honky-tonk.
Enjoy a stroll around the lake next to the arboretum! It is a nine mile loop so wear comfy shoes or make sure to turn around once you get tired. Many parking lot options available around the lake.
