Yes! The Dallas Arboretum is providing complimentary parking and entry for all our guests. Park at Gate 1 and enter through the main entrance where you will give your name to the attendant at the ticket counter. Sundown at Granada has a parking lot attached, and there is ample street parking available. There is also an overflow lot on Martel street that is fee based, but if you say you are with the Simpson wedding, there will be no charge. It is a 14 minute drive between the Arboretum and Granada.
Please factor in some time to make your way from the parking lot to Nancy's Garden inside the arboretum and follow the directions on the "Ceremony Information" tab. Our guests have access to the arboretum starting at 12pm, and the ceremony will begin at 1pm. We recommend showing up at the arboretum by 12:30pm and enjoying the rest of the gardens after the ceremony and photos. In case you get lost, please contact Emily at 815-298-4040 for assistance.
We highly encourage you to tap into a garden fairy folklore vibe for the ceremony in the arboretum. Semi-formal attire requested, for ladies that means dresses/skirts, or a fun jumpsuit. For gentlemen slacks or dress pants with a nice polo or button down shirt is preferred. Picture what you would wear to a nice dinner or church with your grandmother. No jeans or T-shirts please! Reception attire is anything that is comfortable, feel free to make an outfit change!
Our guests will have access to the entirety of the Dallas Arboretum to enjoy after the ceremony and photos. Since it is a holiday weekend the arboretum has extra exhibits and discounts on food and drinks! If you are looking for a quick break in between events, Sundown at Granada is located in Lower Greenville, our favorite Dallas neighborhood filled with bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. Grab a wine slushie at Leela's, a slider at SOB, or a lavender latte at La La Land!
This is an intimate wedding with our closest friends and family at a venue with strict limited capacity. Please RSVP for the people listed on your invitation only. Anyone else will need to bring a chair, a sandwich, and a realllllly good gift.
Kinda! The arboretum is shaded and we will be providing fans and water for guests. Sundown at Granada has fans, misters, and an inside bar. Don't forget deodorant!
