Question

Is a Passport Required?

Answer

Yes, you will need your Passport to travel to Cancun and should be valid at least 6 months after your travel date. Allow 4-6 weeks to receive your passport.

Question

Is this just a wedding?

Answer

Not at all! We really hope people take this time to R&R (or party) and truly enjoy themselves! We can't THANK YOU enough for joining us!!

Question

Is tipping required?

Answer

No, but we found a couple US dollars goes a long way for service. Staff at the resort are super friendly and helpful! We found ourselves tipping a couple bucks for dinner or drinks!! Trust us, you'll have plenty!

Question

Can I drink the water at Villa del Palmar Resort?

Answer

Yes, if it is bottled, it is safe! Do NOT drink tap water!! There is a resort wide filtration system for ice and bottled water is available everywhere. For safety purposes, use bottled water for EVERYTHING that goes in your mouth, including brushing your teeth. It is fine to shower or bathe in the water. All the food at the resorts is safe to eat.

Question

Am I required to stay a certain number of nights?

Answer

Yes, 3 nights is the minimum requirement.

Question

Are the electrical plugs similiar to ones we use in the states?

Answer

Yes, electricity is 117 volts (similar to US 110 volts) using American style two pin plugs (not the 3-pin kind).

Question

What time zone is Cancun in?

Answer

Cancun is on Eastern Time.

Question

Do I need to get immunization shots prior to my arrival?

Answer

No specific immunizations are required to enter Mexico; however, you should ensure all of your regular immunizations are up to date before you go and it is recommended that you make an appointment with a traveler's immunization clinic prior to your departure, as they will have current information about any possible health risks in the area.

Question

Should I exchange my currency?

Answer

USD is accepted in Cancun so you do not have to change your money into Mexican currency.

Question

Is this a kid free wedding?

Answer

Absolutely not! We would love for your children to be there and celebrate with us!
