Things To Do

Ashland and Southern Oregon are known for an abundance of nature activities, as well as cultural offerings. We hope you're able to enjoy the area!

Lithia Park

Winburn Way, Ashland, OR 97520

Gorgeous and expansive park in downtown Ashland, designed by the same person who designed Golden Gate Park in San Francisco! There is a beautiful creek running throughout, a playground, duck ponds, a Japanese garden, and hiking trails (including to a swimming reservoir) at the top end of the park.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival

15 South Pioneer Street, Ashland, OR 97520

Oregon Cabaret Theatre

241 Hargadine Street, Ashland, OR 97520

Musical theater! Seats are at tables and you can order drinks, dinner before the show, or dessert at intermission.

Britt Music & Arts Festival

350 South 1st Street, Jacksonville, OR 97530

Crater Lake National Park

Crater Lake, OR

About two hours from Ashland! The trail down to the lake will be closed for renovations, but the views and hiking around the rim are breathtaking. Check snow levels in June (yes, there is still snow remaining in June) to see what's accessible.

Rogue River

Prospect, OR

The Rogue River Gorge is beautiful (it was so temping to say gorgeous), and there is an easy trail along the river for as long as you want to hike. You can also rent rafts or inflatable kayaks for half- or full-day rafting, with or without guides! Shady Cove is a mellow rafting area, and Galice has a bit more white water.

Rogue Theater Company

1600 East Nevada Street, Ashland, OR 97520

ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum

1500 East Main Street, Ashland, OR 97520

Grizzly Peak Trailhead

38-2E-9.2, Ashland, OR 97520

A moderately strenuous hike with great views!

Wagner Butte TrailHead

National Forest Development Road 22, Talent, OR 97540

A more challenging hike with lush green meadows and an incredible 360-degree view at the top. This is also where Krys proposed to Abby :)

Acid Castle Boulders Trailhead

183 Hitt Road, Ashland, OR 97520

An easy walk (once you get up Strawberry Lane) with nice views of Ashland.

Lake of the Woods

Lake of the Woods, OR 97601

Beautiful mountain lake with a restaurant and bar. There are also paddle crafts available for rent!

The Town of Jacksonville

Jacksonville, OR 97530

A historic town about 30 minutes from Ashland (this is also where the Britt Festival is).

Relaxed tap house that also serves food.

Another tap house! That also serves food.
