Question

I’m confused — Abbie or Kendall?

Answer

For those of you that don’t know, the bride’s full name is Abigail Margaret Kendall Heinzmann. She used “Abbie” as her nickname through high school, and for a myriad of reasons, started using her middle name “Kendall” when she went to Notre Dame and has continued to use “Kendall” most (but not all) of the time since when introducing herself. Due to the switch, a high school friend at ND coined the nickname “AbbieSlashKendall”, and from that came the nickname “Slash”. However, almost anyone that met her prior to 2017 will still know and call her “Abbie”. She will be responding to “Abbie”, “Abigail”, “Kendall”, “Slash”, the "Bride", and maybe just about anything else at the wedding. She is happy to hear whatever name you know her by at the wedding as they are all her name! She has no preference on which name you use.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the event is Black Tie Optional. We would love to see Gentlemen in dark suits (coat and tie please) or tuxedos; and for the Ladies, formal evening gowns or formal evening pants would be lovely. Bridesmaids will be in floor-length long-sleeved dark green velvet gowns.

Question

May I bring my kids?

Answer

Our wedding and reception are adults only events. As much as we would love to celebrate with guests of all ages, we have made this decision in order to celebrate with as many of our friends and family as possible. Thank you in advance for understanding!

Question

Do I need a car?

Answer

Yes. Please visit our "Travel" section if you would like to possibly coordinate with other guests to split a rental car. There are NOT ride-share services readily available in rural Vermont, so it will be necessary to have a car for Transportation. There is parking available at both Our Lady of Seven Dolors and the Lake Bomoseen Lodge, which are about a 10 minute drive from each other.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Cold and hopefully snowy! Please bring a coat, boots, and dress warmly :)

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We're still working on our registry! When it is complete, our registry will show up as a tab on our website.

Question

Where do I get my lift tickets for skiing on Sunday?

Answer

Lift tickets are not yet available for the 2025-2026 season. We will post the link when it becomes available!

For all the days along the way
