The Wedding Website of Joe Moss and Abi Adcock
Below is some advice regarding travel for our out of town guests. If you have any specific questions about travel, hotels, or where to stay please just ask!

Flight

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

For international travelers, LAX is the best option! For when to book, a couple tips from us: (1) monitor flight prices on Google flights to see a change in prices; and (2) keep an eye out for discounts and deals that might come up during Black Friday, New Year Sales or airline's birthday sales. Obviously book your flights whenever suits you, we tend to book our international flights 6-9 months in advance. For leaving the airport there are two primary options. The first is picking up your rental car if you plan on driving (see more information below). The second option is taking a taxi (we recommend Uber or Lyft). To get to the taxi pick-up zone, there are free shuttles (it's a 5 min journey) that leave frequently from outside the airport, look for the green signs for LAX-it.

Travel Note

Passport & ESTA

For our international travelers a friendly reminder that all passports need to be in date and cannot be six months within expiry. If your passport is set to expire in February/March 2026, you will need to renew it before traveling! For non-US citizens, the majority of you will need an ESTA to enter. You can look to get this via the linked website. The ESTA costs $21 USD and is valid for two years. You must complete your ESTA before traveling, we suggest doing it at least two weeks before. If your nationality is not covered by an ESTA, please check online about the visa requirements.

Travel Note

Airlines for International Travelers

There are a number of airlines that fly into LAX. Some main ones are British Airways, Delta, United, American, Virgin Atlantic, and Norse. For our UK travelers - the majority of flights take off from London Heathrow. The main exception for this is Norse. Norse airlines is a new budget carrier flying to the U.S. and departs from Gatwick. Joe and I have flown Norse, and it's very similar to the other carriers, please just be mindful that you need to add on all of your amenities (e.g., you need to pay for food/drinks, bags, carry-ons etc.).

Flight

Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR)

Burbank Airport is a great option for those traveling within the US. It is a smaller airport compared to LAX, but that means a little less busy and much easier to get in and out!

Rental Car

Rental Car

If you do hire a car, please make sure that you feel confident driving (especially for those from the UK with driving being on the right-hand side of the road!). Car rental companies can be found in both airports. If you are cruising around LA, we also recommend looking for parking spaces/garages ahead of time when planning out your journey. If you don't rent a car, ride sharing apps like Uber and Lyft will be your best option because the public transport is not good in LA. Car sharing apps are readily available and will be able to get you wherever your heart desires.

Travel Note

Places to Stay

If you are planning on exploring LA before or after the wedding weekend, options one and two below are ideal choices. After you are done exploring, it's an easy trip into Simi Valley where the wedding is taking place. 1. In the city - if you are wanting to stay in the main touristy areas of LA you could look at places around Santa Monica/Venice, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Studio City, Century City, Silver Lake/Echo Park. All of these areas will put you in close proximity of things to do in LA. 2. Near the beach - If spending your time relaxing by the ocean is more of your vibe, we suggest looking around Malibu, Venice, Manhattan Beach, or further south in Orange County. Houses will stretch along the coast. Distance to LA attractions will vary. 3. Near the venue - Our venue is located in Abi's hometown of Simi Valley! Simi Valley is mainly residential. However, places around Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, and Calabasas could all be great places to use as a base. To get into LA and the tourist attractions it will range from a 45 min drive to maybe an hour and a half, depending on location.

House Or Rental

Airbnb or Vrbo

Renting accommodation through websites such as Airbnb and Vrbo is a great option, whether you're staying for an extended period of time or just the wedding weekend. Where you decide to stay will depend on a number of factors including what you are looking to do, price, and how many of you might be staying together. Please see more information above in our travel note about locations.

Travel Note

Hotels

If you would like to stay in a hotel over the wedding weekend, below are some examples which vary in price! These are not the only hotels in the area, and if you search on sites like Booking.com, Expedia, or Kayak you will be able to find a number of others. For the wedding weekend choose what style of accommodation (Airbnb or Hotel) works best for you!

Hotel

Courtyard Ventura Simi Valley

191 Cochran Street, Simi Valley, CA 93065

An option for staying during the wedding weekend. The Courtyard is only a five minute drive away from the venue. But will be a 15-20 minute drive from where the after party is taking place.

Hotel

Fairfield Inn & Suites Moorpark Ventura County

14350 White Sage Road, Moorpark, CA 93021

Another option for staying during the wedding weekend. The hotel is only a 5-10 minute drive away from the venue. But will be a 15-20 minute drive from where the after party is taking place.

Hotel

Hyatt Regency Westlake

880 South Westlake Boulevard, Westlake Village, CA 91361

Another option to stay at during the wedding weekend. The Hyatt in Westlake is around a 15 minute drive to the venue. If you are wanting to join the after party, this will be closer to where we end the night!

Hotel

Westlake Village Inn

31943 Agoura Road, Westlake Village, CA 91361

Travel Note

Traveling in LA

LA, like many big cities, has nice areas, not so nice areas and everything in between! Please be conscious of this when traveling within the city. LA is reliant on cars as the main mode of transport. LA is big, and because of that, it isn't the most walkable city. You can walk short distances between things, but check the route before embarking on your stroll! Either car-sharing apps or renting a car will be your best bet for getting around. We recommend planning out your journey ahead of leaving your hotel/Airbnb.
