Travel Related Questions

Answer

A few points as a reminder of things to think of if you are traveling internationally. 1. Is your passport up to date? You cannot travel on a passport set to expire in six months, so if your expiration date is Feb/March 2026 you will need to renew it! 2. Do you have your ESTA? Please make sure you complete the ESTA application at least two weeks before travelling. More info on the Travel page. 3. Do you have travel insurance or want to have it? Make sure to purchase before leaving! 4. Driving in the U.S.? Make sure to bring your drivers license! 5. Don't forget your outlet adaptors or U.S. plugs! 6. Have you downloaded and created an account on car-sharing apps like Uber and Lyft? We recommend doing both to give you options!

Question

If we are staying in the area for longer than the weekend, what should we do?

Answer

If you are staying for a longer period than just the wedding weekend, you can find some fun ideas of things to do in the section "Things to do". For housing, it might work out that staying in an Airbnb/Vrbo is more cost efficient than a hotel, but definitely look into what will suit you best. We have a few options of areas that you can stay in listed in the section "Travel".

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see information in the "Travel" section for hotel recommendations! We have given a couple of suggestions with varying price levels. However, there are several hotels in the area that are not listed, so also have a look online for other options.

Question

Have you reserved hotel blocks?

Answer

You can find more information about where to stay in our Travel section. We have not reserved hotel blocks, as we want to give our guests the flexibility to stay at a location that suits them.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony/post on social media?

Answer

During the ceremony we kindly ask that you do not take any photos. We will give guests a chance to take photos at one point, however, we have hired an amazing photographer and videographer and would love for them to be able to capture the moment. Please do feel free to post your photos on social media! We can't wait to see your pictures from the day.

Question

Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?

Answer

No! Please do feel free to wear whatever color or style suits you best and that you feel the most comfortable in. A reminder that the venue is an all outdoor venue and temperatures will range from 70°F to 85°F (20°C to 28°C) during the day and will be cooler at night. We suggest bringing a lightweight jacket for the evening.

Question

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a buffet with a selection of meat, vegetarian entrée, sides, and salads. We will have an additional selection of goodies to satisfy those with a sweet tooth!

Answer

The drinks are on us, but the hangover is on you!
