Jvris Wera is a traditional Georgian Orthodox engagement ceremony that takes place before the wedding. During this sacred ceremony, the couple receives a blessing from the priest, and rings are placed as a sign of their commitment to one another. It represents the couple’s promise, spiritual union, and preparation for marriage, asking God’s blessing as they begin this journey together.
Wedding Ceremony
2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Xelis Mowera is a symbolic ceremonial moment where the bride and groom stand together, hand in hand, promising their lives to one another.
Photos with family and friends
3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
During this time, we will be taking photos with family and friends, followed by the reception.
Reception
6:00 pm - 11:45 pm
Kutaisi-Geguti-Sakulia-Bashi-Ianeti, Kutaisi, Imereti, Georgia
Afterward, we will head to the restaurant to continue the celebration with dinner, drinks, and festivities. While this is the latest time listed on the website, the celebration will continue later into the evening. We estimate the event will go on until around 1:00 AM.
