Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

Iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre! Open during the days to hang out or work-out in if you are feeling adventurous. We recommend parking in the Upper North Lot for easiest access but be aware there are a good amount of steps. There are also many short trail loops you can do from the lot.

Hikes

CO

We use Alltrails to look for hikes and track ourselves on the hike- you should too. Make sure to bring more water than you think you’ll need, wear sunscreen, and check the weather before leaving. Lookout mountain- Tallest peak in Golden. A beautiful drive up with stunning views. Many hiking trails around Peaks to Plains and Welch Ditch Loop- easy hike with minimal elevation gain, and close to golden Golden Cliffs Trail- moderate hike, views of golden Red Rocks Trading Post Trail- views of red rocks amphitheater Rocky Mountain national park has a ton of hikes, but these are a few we like: Emerald lake Lake Haiyaha Colorado Springs- about an hour and a half south from golden. Garden of the Gods is a very cool rock structure/park that is easy to walk around. Angelos Mexican food is one of Garys favorite hole in the wall places.

Cool old mining town with food, shops and bars about 30 minutes from golden. We love Westbound & Down, Mainstreet Restaurant and the dive bar The Vintage Moose.
