The Biltmore Mansion is America’s largest home and the beautiful backdrop for our special day! If time allows, we highly recommend taking a full day to tour the Mansion and Estate grounds. The Mansion's back balcony is our favorite spot to grab an uninterrupted view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Mount Pisgah. Please see the link to purchase tickets ahead of time. Head over to the Conservatory to see the tulips in bloom. Bring your tennis shoes and walk the trail to the bass pond. On the way, check out the Spring Garden and historic Walled Garden; both are must-sees in May. Your admissions ticket includes a complimentary wine tasting at the Estate's winery—make sure to schedule the tasting the morning of admission. On the way to the winery, take in the cellar tunnel for a romantic walk through time. Outside the winery/cellar entrance, Cedric's Tavern features live music on Friday nights—grab a beer or ice cream and enjoy! Head to the Lounge at the Inn for a nightcap.
One of the Bride's and Groom's favorites. If you know Zane’s impossible standards for Tex-Mex, this checks all the boxes!
For Asheville’s finest dining, enjoy dinner with a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. See the website for required dress code—jeans are (unfortunately) prohibited and jackets are recommended. Admission tickets are required to dine on property, and reservations required. Pour out an Old Fashioned for us!
For those traveling by car from Tennessee or Alabama, we highly recommend taking the scenic drive up to Asheville. Go through Chattanooga to Cleveland, Tennessee and hop on scenic route Highway 64 for remarkable views of the Ocoee River and the southern end of Tennessee's Great Smoky Mountains. If you have extra time on your hands, continue the drive to Highlands, North Carolina to see a picturesque small town with nature views to die for. Please note the drive to Highlands features curvy roads; we DO NOT advise this route if you're prone to carsickness!
Fantastic local brewery with outdoor tables and a great, relaxed vibe.
