Manhattan is home to Kansas State University, and the city has a population of around 50,000. The Ft. Riley military base is also nearby. Manhattan has a great selection for places to eat, shop, as well as the downtown and Aggieville bar districts.

Wamego is home to many Oz-themed activities, including the Oz Museum, the yellow brick road, and the Totos around town (have a scavenger hunt to find all 15 Totos). Wamego has a lot of great places to eat, shop, and drink. Wamego has approximately 5,000 residents.

Westmoreland is the county seat of Pottawatomie County, with approximately 750 residents. There is a small grocery store, the South 40 Cafe, as well as a hometown pharmacy (WestPharm) with a soda fountain.
