What is the dress code?

Answer

Island Chic - Slacks, button up shirt (short or long sleeve), cocktail summer dress Shoes or no shoes. Pedicures required ; ) Wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident!

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Children are welcome to come to the resort, but we ask that only adults come to the wedding ceremony and reception. There is a baby sitting service and kids club.

What does the resort offer for children?

Answer

Casa Viento is the building closest to the kid's pool and kid's club. The kid's pool has slides and other activities for children. There is also a family club with games and movies for the family. The resort offers baby sitting services. Children are also able to participate in most of the adventures at the adventure parks.

Are you going to adventure parks before the wedding?

Answer

Yes, we will provide a schedule of the different parks we will go to the days before the wedding once the dates gets closer.

What if I have to cancel my reservation?

Answer

The travel company offers travel insurance. We recommend the insurance the earlier you book. The initial $100 deposit is refundable.

How do we RSVP?

Answer

Once you make your reservation with the travel company and pay the $100 refundable deposit, that is your RSVP to us as well. You can also RSVP on the website.

Do we need reservations for dinner?

Answer

Yes - many of the restaurants require reservations. Here is the link to the list of the restaurants. https://www.hotelxcaretmexico.com/en/gastronomy/ To make reservations in advance, please email: dxguestservice@hotelxcaret.com Richie and I will follow a rough schedule for dinners of: Teatro Del Rio - Wednesday night - 8PM Xoximilco - Thursday night wedding party and significant others - 8PM Friday night dinner is on your own, unless you are a part of the rehearsal dinner. Saturday night dinner - wedding! Sunday dinner: TBD I can only make reservations for 10 people. This will be immediate family and close friends. Please make your own reservation if you wish to join us or eat on your own! After all, this is a vacation for you to enjoy as well!

Do I need reservations for the parks and tours?

Answer

Yes - the only parks you do not need reservations for is Xcaret and Xplor. Xenses you need a reservation for the day but can go at any time. The other parks and tours are full day activities. You can make reservations in advance by emailing: dxguestservice@hotelxcaret.com Please see the "Things To Do" tab for more information on the parks.

What's for dinner at the wedding?

Answer

Every one will be given steak, unless you notify us that you would like Tuna as a vegetarian option. you can RSVP under the "RSVP" tab to select your food option. There is also a vegan option available upon request. We need to know in advance so please let us know if steak is not good for you!

What should I pack?

Answer

Yeti cup for drinks in the pool/beach - bartenders will fill your personal cup with whatever you want to drink. Sunscreen Sunglasses Bathing suit & cover ups during the day Dinner attire at the restaurants: guys bring pants and women can wear dress or nice outfit but the restaurants do require nice attire. Hotel rooms have shampoo/conditioner - bring your own toothpaste. You do NOT need any beach towels - the resort will provide

Will my cell phone work?

Answer

Check with your provider, but a lot of carriers do offer service in Mexico. The resort also has WiFi throughout. You do not need any special converters for plugs.

How do I get from the airport to the resort?

Answer

When you walk out of the air port to the sea of transportation options, look for the people in bright pink shirts. They will direct you to a private lounge where you will wait for the bus to take you to the resort. It is approximately 45 minutes to an hour drive.

Yes. Please check the expiration date, Your passport cannot be expiring within 6 months.

Please bring cash for tips. Tipping is welcomed, but not required.
