Île Sainte-Marguerite

You can take a ferry from Cannes or Juan Les Pins to this small island off the coast. The island is most famous for its fortress prison (the Fort Royal), in which the so-called Man in the Iron Mask was held in the 17th century.

A beautiful beach with chairs to rent. There is a small section of public beach, too.

Take a day trip to one of the oldest medieval towns on the French Riviera. There are several shops to visit. It is well-known for its modern and contemporary art.
