Frequently Asked Questions

The Wedding Website of Joey Feser and Abby Nuque
More questions will show up here as we get them. Let us know what other questions you might have and we'll answer/post them. To start:
Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

We ask that all guests RSVP by March 8th in order for us to be fully prepared for the special day.

Question

Are plus-ones and children allowed?

Answer

To keep our celebration intimate, we are only able to accommodate guests who are listed on the invitation. We absolutely love your little ones, but children at the reception are limited to those in the bridal party. Thank you so much for understanding, we’re so excited to celebrate with you!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, this is a formal event, and we encourage all guests to dress their best. That said, please don’t worry, you will not be kicked out of our special day for any lapse in fashion sense. We’re simply happy to celebrate with you. Formal attire is encouraged. For the ladies, a long formal gown or a formal cocktail dress is recommended. For the gentlemen, a suit, tuxedo, or a formal long-sleeve shirt is perfect. If you’d like to coordinate with our wedding palette, we’d love for guests to join us in shades of burgundy, navy blue, and soft warm gold or warm neutral tones.

Question

What is the wedding day itinerary?

Answer

Guests are welcome to arrive at St. Ignatius Church starting at 2:45 PM. The ceremony and procession will officially begin at 3:15 PM, so we kindly ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure a smooth and meaningful ceremony. Please allow extra time to find parking and make your way to the church, as we would love for everyone to be comfortably seated before the ceremony begins. We truly appreciate your punctuality. The reception will follow at the Golden Gate Club, where cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served, followed by a buffet-style dinner. After dinner, we’ll celebrate with dancing, drinks, and even some karaoke fun!

Question

What kind of ceremony will this be?

Answer

Our ceremony will be a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony. It is a sacred, faith-centered celebration that follows the rituals of the Catholic Church and emphasizes the sacrament of marriage. The ceremony will last approximately 60 minutes. Our wedding will include a full Catholic Mass, including Scripture readings, prayers, and Communion. During Communion, only practicing Catholics are invited to receive the Eucharist. Non-Catholic guests are welcome to remain seated or come forward with arms crossed to receive a blessing.

Question

Do guests need to be Catholic to attend?

Answer

Not at all! Guests of all faiths (and no faith) are warmly welcome. Your presence means the world to us.

Question

What is the weather and climate like in the area?

Answer

Mid-April in San Francisco is typically mild and comfortable, with daytime temperatures in the low to mid 60s and cooler evenings in the upper 40s to low 50s. Spring weather is generally pleasant and mostly dry, though the Bay Area is known for occasional breezes and changing conditions, especially near the water. We recommend bringing a light jacket, shawl, or wrap for the evening, as it can feel chilly once the sun goes down.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception are mostly indoors, though guests will have outdoor areas available during the reception.

Question

What’s the best way to book hotel accommodations?

Answer

See the ‘Travel’ tab for hotel accommodations and select the ‘View’ buttons below either of the choices for our wedding specific room block booking

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

We do recommend all those who can to take ride shares to the event to avoid cumbersome vehicle logistics. Those who feel better having their own car during the day can see the following: For the church - The designated white zone in front of St. Ignatius Church on Fulton Street will be reserved for a wedding party vehicle. St. Ignatius does not have its own parking lot; however, wedding guests may park in the lot below the University of San Francisco School of Law right across from the church on Fulton Street. While parking is not guaranteed, guests without USF parking permits may park in available spots, and the University will not issue citations during the wedding. Additional paid parking is available in the fee garage at St. Mary’s Hospital and on the street; however, please note that street parking regulations apply. For the reception - plenty of parking will be available near the reception venue.

Question

Is it okay to post wedding photos on social media?

Answer

Yes, absolutely, we’d love that! Please feel free to share and tag us on Instagram @splshmntaine and @janineabegaildln. We’ll also have a QR code available so everyone can easily upload and share photos from the day.
