On August 15, 2020, we spent our first date fishing on the calm waters of Shell Lake in Wisconsin. It was a simple, laid-back day—just the two of us, a few drinks, and several rounds of Kings in the Corner. That afternoon of quiet conversation and laughter turned into the beginning of something meaningful. Over these years, we've built a life together filled with love, laughter, and everyday moments that have shaped our relationship. From that first day on the lake to everything we've shared since, we've grown side by side—and now, we’re excited to take the next step. On August 15, 2026, we’ll be celebrating our six-year anniversary by getting married—surrounded by the people who mean the most to us.

On a chilly December evening, we visited the Miracle at Big Rock Christmas Light Tour in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin with some of our closest friends, Scott and Jess Carr. The lights were magical, and the whole night had that cozy holiday feeling. As we wandered through the glowing displays, we paused at the beautiful Moon light installation to take a photo—or so Abby thought. In that quiet, sparkling moment, Jared got down on one knee and asked Abby to spend forever with him. It was a moment filled with love, surprise, and joy. And of course, she said yes! The celebration didn’t end there. Jared had one more surprise planned—family was waiting nearby for a dinner and drinks to celebrate the big moment. The night was filled with hugs, laughter, and happy tears, making it the perfect beginning to this next chapter of our lives.
