Our RSVP deadline is August 8. Please let us know if you're coming by then! PS - our RSVP cards are postcards, so you don't need an envelope. Just pop it in the mail!
Our ceremony starts at 5:00. Try to get there by 4:30 - there will be refreshments, and the venue is fun to explore if you get there early!
If we have a dress code, it's probably close to "semi-formal" or "dressy casual," but we want you to feel comfortable and be ready to have fun. Wear whatever you feel great in! The ceremony is outside on grass, so you may want to leave the stiletto heels at home, and it's likely to be warm in North Carolina in September, so dress accordingly.
Kids are more than welcome! The venue is great for kids - there are walking trails, horses and goats, and we'll have a few games like cornhole and giant Jenga. But if you want to leave them home with a babysitter, we'll understand that, too.
We have room blocks at the Ballantyne Hotel and the Courtyard Marriott Ballantyne - both are about 25 minutes from the venue. You can also stay in Matthews, NC or Monroe, NC. See more information on the Travel tab.
We'll have a few light bites during the cocktail hour and stations for dinner. We wanted to pick some of our favorite foods to share with you, so it's not your typical wedding food. You'll see things like bruschetta with local tomatoes and goat cheese, pickled shrimp, chicken and waffles, a macaroni and cheese bar and pulled pork sliders. If any of that doesn't sound good to you, be sure to stock up on snacks (and if you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know!).
If you are vegan/vegetarian or have a food allergy, please let Abby, Fritz or their families know and we'll make accommodations for you!
Yes, there is plenty of free parking at the venue. Just follow the signs when you arrive and you'll find the parking lot and the ceremony/reception area.
Yes - we have shuttles from the Ballantyne Hotel and the Courtyard Marriott to the venue and back after the reception. Shuttles will leave the hotels at 3:30 pm and return at 10:00 pm. For more information, see the Travel tab.
We're registered on Zola and at Target and Crate and Barrel. You can find all our registries on the Registry tab.
For information about other events, including welcome drinks and the after party, see the Events tab. We'll update this with more information as we get closer to the wedding!
So that we can celebrate our wedding with our closest friends and family, we've limited plus ones (sorry!). If you have “and guest” or another person on your invitation, you're more than welcome to bring someone else! If not, don't worry - we've placed you at a table where you definitely know and love the people near you.
Check out the Things to Do tab for a few of our favorite things to do in Charlotte. If you're looking for something specific, just ask! There is also a great spa and golf course at the Ballantyne Hotel, as well as bike rentals, yoga classes, and a greenway nearby.
Yep! We'll have beer, wine and champagne (but no liquor - our venue doesn't allow it). Please drink responsibly!
The venue is about 35 minutes outside of Uptown Charlotte. You can definitely get an Uber/Lyft there, especially if you're coming from Charlotte. You can technically get Uber/Lyft from the venue (Abby has tried) - but you may experience long wait times or lack of availability depending on what time it is. We'd recommend taking the shuttle, carpooling with a designated driver, or pre-scheduling an Uber/Lyft with a few people.
Yes! However, it is a farm and much of the venue is grass or gravel. Please let us know if you need accommodations like golf cart transportation from the parking lot to the ceremony location, etc. and we can arrange it!
Luckily, our ceremony and reception are taking place in the same location. We'll have a short ceremony, then we'll be married (yay!). That's followed by a cocktail hour where there will be drinks and a few light appetizers. Then, we'll have a buffet-style dinner with some amazing stations (like chicken and waffles and a mac and cheese bar). Then, we'll drink, dance, hang out, play games, catch up with old friends, make new ones, etc. until it's time to leave at 10:00!
Our ceremony and reception are both outside, although the reception will be on a pavilion underneath a tent. Fingers crossed for good weather!
Yes, please! We'd love to have all the memories we can of our big day. Feel free to post any pictures you take using the hashtag #AbbysOnTheFritz. We just ask that you put your phone away during the ceremony.
Feel free to email Abby at abmperkins@gmail.com (but please understand that response times may be longer if you email her the week of the wedding!). You can also reach out to Fritz (fre.healy@gmail.com) or either of their families.
