Things To Do

Pemaquid Point Lighthouse

Pemaquid Point Lighthouse

Bristol, ME 04554
, (207) 677-2492

This is the site of our wedding ceremony, and is, of course, stunning! Sunset is the best time to go. Be careful on the rocks and don’t get too close to the ocean when there are big waves.

Pemaquid Beach

Pemaquid Beach

Pemaquid Beach Park, New Harbor, ME 04554

Sarah's Dad (Daryl) used to work here when he was in high school, and it's a beach, so what isn't there to love? On a sunny day it's the perfect hangout location.

Colonial Pemaquid State Historic Site

Colonial Pemaquid State Historic Site

Colonial Pemaquid Drive, New Harbor, ME 04554
, (207) 677-2423

There's lots to discover and learn here, but the big thing we recommend is to go to Fort William Henry (we even took some engagement photos here!)

Wawenock Golf Club

Wawenock Golf Club

685 Maine 129, Walpole, ME 04573
, (207) 563-3938

A nice golf course close to both our ceremony and reception site, it's definitely worth checking out if you have the time and enjoy golfing. There's even a cafe that serves up some tasty bites.

Sherman's Maine Coast Book Shop Damariscotta

Sherman's Maine Coast Book Shop Damariscotta

158 Main Street, Damariscotta, ME 04543
, (207) 563-3207

Sarah loves a good bookstore... and this is definitely a good one. There is a cute cafe attached serving up drinks and goodies.

Round Top Ice Cream

Round Top Ice Cream

526 Main Street, Damariscotta, ME 04543
, (207) 563-5307

The best of the best! Sarah recommends the Raspberry Truffle ice cream, and Jordan recommends the Blueberry Pie ice cream. There is a little walk hidden behind Round Top with great views of the oyster banks. Don't fret too much if you don't make it here before the wedding as there may be some Round Top at the wedding.

Red's Eats

Red's Eats

41 Water Street, Wiscasset, ME 04578
, (207) 882-6128

If you want to be part of all the hype (and incredibly long lines), head over to Reds Eats. We've never actually eaten there, as it's definitely a tourist place. If you go we would love to know how it is and if their famous lobster rolls are worth the wait.

Dodge Point Preserve

Dodge Point Preserve

Newcastle, ME 04553

A lovely hike that Sarah has done her whole life, and now she brings Jordan along with her. Make sure you go down to the different beaches along the way.

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens

105 Botanical Gardens Drive, Boothbay, ME 04537
, (207) 633-8000

Confession: We have never been here in the summertime. However, we have been in the winter for the Gardens Aglow which are truly incredible. I've heard they're beautiful in the summer as well, so it's definitely worth checking out.

Mount Battie

Mount Battie

Camden, ME 04843

You can either drive up or hike up. Either way, the view is beautiful at the top.

Hardy Boat Cruises

Hardy Boat Cruises

129 Maine 32, New Harbor, ME 04554
, (207) 677-2026

Take a cruise with Hardy Boat, and go either puffin watching, seal watching, or on a nature cruise! They also have a ferry to Monhegan Island.

For all the days along the way
