Things To Do

There is so much to explore in Charlottesville, we are excited to share it with you! The Rotunda & The Lawn are the most central part of campus. Fortunately our welcome party will take you here - but we encourage you to stop by during the day and explore the University. "The Corner" is a stretch of bars and restaurants on University Ave, starting near the Rotunda. A popular hangout for students - you can't go wrong with any of the bars & restaurants here! The Downtown Mall is another great area to visit - walking distance from most of our hotels, there are some nicer restaurants & bars as well as shopping. Charlottesville is also situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains, which means beautiful hiking! The Humpback Rocks Loop is a favorite for a moderate hike. For those interested in a historical adventure, we recommend an afternoon trip to Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello for a guided tour of the estate. A few of our favorite bites around town:
