Yes! :) We are getting married on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. We chose this day as we got engaged in May and wanted to get married this year. Some couples book venues years(!) in advance in order to have their venue, so to get married the same year that we got engaged it seemed that one solution would be to get married on a weekday. Because there is another Mills wedding October (yay, Stephen & Kalie!) We wondered if planning the wedding near a holiday might make it easier for some of Abbie's five brothers to make the trip to Illinois and also be present for Thanksgiving if they chose. We picked Tuesday in the hopes that if guests needed to travel or cook for Thanksgiving they could still do so on Wednesday. One of the reasons we wanted to get married this year was so that two of Abbie's bridesmaids can be present before they head back to Indonesia next year. <3 We also love the anniversary date of 11.25.25!
Nope! This will be an alcohol free wedding. We are exploring ways to have coffee and/or our favorite soda, Cheerwine, as neither of us drink alcohol. Thanks for understanding!
Yes! There is parking. And yes! Pear Tree Estates now has a chapel which is where we will have the wedding ceremony before having our reception at their venue just a little further down their drive from the wedding site.
We are going for semi-formal. Wear something you like and want to celebrate our wedding with us in! :)
