We recommend arriving no later than 1:15 pm
There are two parts. The first part is the Rite of Marriage, where we exchange our consent to marry and say our vows. The second part is the Latin Mass, where we offer prayers and praise to God, and the Priest recreates Christs sacrifice on Calvary. The Mass is said almost exclusively in Latin because it is the language of the developed tradition of the Church, stemming from ancient times.
The Church teaches that during Mass, the bread and wine offered by the Priest is changed into the true Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ. Those who are baptized Catholics and in a state of grace can receive. If you are not Catholic, or Catholic but unable to worthily receive Our Lord, we invite you to silently pray with us from your pew during Communion. Holy communion is received kneeling and on the tongue in the Mass.
Cocktail hour starts at 4:30 with dinner starting around 6.
