When should I book my hotel?

Answer

AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Once you have decided yes we are coming, start looking and book it! Keep in mind what town your hotel is in. Look to stay near/in Nags Head, Manteo or Kill Devil Hills. Traffic can be unpredictable and can delay travel time if you plan to stay in another area.

What should I wear?

Answer

Great Question... Its going to be hot and breezy! Linen or light fabric is preferred, neutral or pastel colors preferred. Heels are not recommended.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

As soon as possible, no later than April 1st, 2026.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Parking will be around Donald's parents house (Wayne and Becky Varilek) which is where the reception will be held. We will have signs posted! Be ready to walk over to the beach around 6:15 pm from the Reception area. Ceremony will begin at 6:30pm

Will the festivities be outdoors?

Answer

Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors. Guest will have to walk up the street from the reception site (crossing over a short road and going up about 5 houses) to the ocean front for the ceremony. Then back for the backyard reception. With that in mind heels are not recommended, but sandals are encouraged.

What's the best airport to use?

Answer

Norfolk International Airport is closest. 2hr and 32mins to Wayne and Becky's house (The reception site) Keep in mind traffic can be brutal depending on the time of day you leave the city to head to the Outer Banks!

What is the weather and climate like?

Answer

In June, Nags Head, NC has warm sunny, and breezy weather making it an ideal time for a beach vacation! Average daytime temp is around 83 degrees, with moderate humidity. Occasional afternoon showers' may occur, but are typically short and spotty. Water temperature increases throughout the month from 70-77 degrees.

What type of food will be served at the reception?

Answer

Buffet style brisket tacos. If you have dietary restrictions please make it known when you RSVP. **To be determined the entrée for dietary restrictions.**

We will have alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options. Drinks will flow till the well runs dry!

Rain or shine, we will plan to do things per the schedule. Rain showers are very spotty so we will roll with it!!
