This is a paved, accessible walking path along Clear Creek that is great for all visitors. The path starts in downtown Golden, goes west past The Eddy Hotel (~1 mile) and continues for just over 1.5 miles to a suspension bridge where the completed portion of the path ends. Return the same way you came to get back to downtown Golden.
Great option for hiking for all abilities. To make it a scenic day trip from Golden, consider continuing on from the state park by taking Route 119 to Nederland and stop at Salto Coffee for a pick-me-up before you drive back down Route 72 Coal Creek Canyon Road back to Golden. (~ 2 hour driving time total)
If you've never been to Red Rocks this is a must visit! We recommend the Trading Post Trail which is 1.4 miles through unique red rock formations. You can also go in the amphitheater morning through early afternoon to take in the views, or hit the stairs for some cardio.
Scenic drive with views of the Golden valley and Table Mountains with plenty of spots to park and take it all in.
Aspen Alley Trail is a moderate ~2 mile hike starting from the Boreas Pass Trailhead. You will walk among aspen groves with the golden leaves of the season. A great day hike and an opportunity to spend time in Breckenridge if desired. Don't forget to hydrate at 10,000 ft of elevation! We recommend starting out early as I-70 traffic can be heavy mid-morning on the way to the mountains.
