We met at the 6th Alley Bar at The Basin (Arapahoe Basin) while skiing with a mutual friend (thanks, Patrick!). Abbey thought Billy was cute. Billy thought Abbey could "bend a ski". Neither got the other's phone number...

With a little help from Bumble, phone numbers were finally exchanged a few months later. We both knew during our first date at Piatti that there was something special between us.

Under the guise of a birthday hike for Billy, and with the help of Ethan, Matt, & Quinn, the group convened at The Basin. When Billy suggested a photo-op in front of The East Wall, Abbey happily obliged and was absolutely shocked to turn around and find Billy on one knee. Happy tears and champagne toasts ensued, at the place where it all began!
