If you have any other questions other than what we've listed here, please reach out!
Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Please understand our decision to make our wedding trip child-free. We kindly request that all our celebrations be adults-only. We appreciate you making arrangements in advance to leave the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!

Question

Can I bring another family member/friend?

Answer

Our goal is to keep our very special celebration events as intimate as possible. We kindly request that only the individuals addressed on the invitation attend. Thank you for respecting our wishes.

Question

What important details should I know about the wedding?

Answer

Please note, our reception will be aboard a catamaran for a sunset dinner cruise. The charter company cannot accommodate pregnancies onboard, and all guests must be able to walk down to the dock without the use of a mobility aid. Additionally, please be aware that this will be an "adventure" cruise, with some choppy waters on the way to our dinner location. We appreciate your understanding and enthusiasm for embarking on this adventure with us!

Question

When should I book my flight and hotel?

Answer

In 2024, September flights to Lihue were the most affordable in mid to late June. There are hotel and resort options with different rates. You may want to consider staying multiple nights and sharing a multi-bedroom vacation home with friends. This can be a fun and cost-effective way to enjoy the celebration with family and friends! We have arranged for a 15% discount with our preferred vacation rental company. Please text or email Cat to be connected with our coordinator.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

September in Hawai'i can be in the 70s. Rain may be present, so you may want to pack a light jacket for any chilly nights. We will be on the south shore which is known to have sunny days.

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

Bring your favorite reusable water bottle! Hawaii is a beautiful place and we'd love your support in minimizing unnecessary plastic waste.

Question

What shoes should I wear?

Answer

We recommend wearing comfortable shoes for walking through the botanical garden during the ceremony, and keep in mind you'll also be barefoot on the catamaran.

Question

How long should I stay on Kauai?

Answer

We hope everyone can take advantage of the occasion and enjoy a multi-day island vacation! While we understand scheduling conflicts may arise, we invite you to stay for as much of the celebration as you can. Our festivities begin with an "Aloha Hour" the evening before and wrap up with an optional beach outing the day after the wedding. We will be staying in Kauai from September 22nd through September 28th. You're welcome to coordinate your dates to vacation with us!
