Patrick and I love going to Pike Place and getting fresh veggies, pastas, and flowers from the vendors here. Walk through the market and check out the shops, stalls, and restaurants throughout the market. It’s definitely a staple and a must visit for our guests visiting from out of state.
One of the best things about Seattle is its access to the great outdoors! There are great hikes around the Seattle area with different difficulties and ranges depending on how adventurous you're feeling. Poo Poo Point is a run hike which has an awesome pay off at the top where you can watch people take off for paragliding and hang gliding. Here's a website that you can use to check out all the different hikes in the Seattle area; https://www.alltrails.com/us/washington/seattle
Seattle Center has a lot of different attractions that adults and kids can enjoy. In Seattle center you can visit the Space Needle, MoPoP, Chihuly Glass Museum, and the Pacific Science Center. Patrick and I had our first official date at the Seattle Center on New Years Eve of 2015 watching the fire works at the Space Needle!
Alki Beach is a beautiful place to visit in the summer. The restaurants are plentiful, we suggest Marination Ma Kai, Pegasus Pizza & Pasta, an Salty's on Alki Beach. Rent a bicycle to cruise up and around the point, or prepare a bon fire on the shore. Alki Beach also has one of the best views of the Seattle Downtown Skyline.
We spend a lot of time in Downtown Ballard. Lots of cute boutique shops, bars, and food! One of our favorite places to eat is The Ballard Cut. After you're finished you can walk through Ballard Avenue and grab some dessert at Salt and Straw, Hot Cakes, or the Pie Bar.
