¡nos casamos!

It all started on a September evening in 2018 with a pair of clip-on bangs. It was Stephanie’s (bestie of the brides and one of the wedding officiants) birthday, and she had a new friend crush to introduce to Brianna. Alissa, a very cool + very cute Wisconsin girl, had recently moved to Chicago. Stephanie knew Alissa and Brianna would be instant friends, and maybe underestimated the power of her matchmaking skills. During their evening out, Alissa casually revealed a pair of clip-on bangs from her bag. Brianna was impressed and the two became instant best friends, because who doesn’t love a wig reveal? Alissa and Brianna talked and laughed, and as the night went on and their smarter friends headed home to sleep, the girls ditched the party to continue their night out in Wicker Park. Eventually landing at Alissa’s apartment that evening (morning), Brianna crashed on Alissa’s couch and left her a note reporting: “I am moving to Spain tomorrow, but when I’m back we're going to be best friends.” Fast forward a year, Brianna made her return to Chicago. Brought together by a shared love/hate relationship with “The Bachelor” series and a crew of childhood besties (the Rose Buddies), Brianna and Alissa would become close friends over the next three years. As the friendship developed, new feelings did, too. Brianna and Alissa shared their first kiss watching a drag show at Berlin in Boystown (RIP). Both encouraged by their big sisters to explore what more-than-friends could mean, the girls fell in love, and the rest is history. After three years dating, a few big moves, and a collection of pets, Brianna popped the question July 2024 at Promontory Point in Chicago. This beach is where the girls shared their first official date years ago. Brianna and Alissa are so very lucky to have a robust community of friends and family who support their partnership, and cannot wait to share their wedding day with you in 2026!
