We will be having Moose’s Tooth at the wedding! Great Pizza, Salads, Wings, and BEER! Great relaxing family place. Be prepared to wait for seating during busy hours, but you can hang out by the out door fire and chill with a beer!

If you like seafood and some good food, this place is top notch in downtown Anchorage.

Pride Festival - happy time down town!
The Pride Festival is on the day of the wedding 12-5 pm, so you can check it out if you plan your time wisely (don’t miss the wedding!!) Get some lunch at the event from Tiki Pete’s!
Flattop Mountain
This is a must hike! This 3.3 mile round trip hike is a butt kicker with lots of stairs, and at the very top a little bit of rock climbing. If you are not up to the long hike, there is a beautiful overlook of the city in the same place (upper parking lot). So bring your hiking shoes and get to it! (I have seen a Samoan guy in flip flops doing it... still I wouldn't recommend flip flops!) If you google this, don't get it confused with Flattop Pizza in downtown Anchorage.
Coastal Trail - Elderberry Park
Very popular paved, mostly flat, rated easy trail. Walk as much as you want or rent some bikes for some cruising! Start down-town or at Earthquake park!
Potter Marsh Wildlife Viewing Boardwalk
Just at the south edge of Anchorage, this short board walk is just awesome. Green and newly done, flat, easy. See wildlife and salmon!
Barbara Falls
Also known as South Fork Falls in Eagle River (30 minutes north of Anchorage), this short, 1 mile or less hike lets you see a super cool waterfall. You can see it from the top and then venture back down to see the bottom of the falls (trail before the bridge). It is on private property, but as along as you follow the parking instructions, the owner lets everyone enjoy the falls!
Kincaid Park
Great easy paved hikes. If you want to get up close and personal with some moose, I see one here every time I am there. ^_^ . Stay back and if one walks toward you, don't pet it..... Walk in the opposite direction please. Never get between a momma and its babies.

Anchorage Railroad
Take the train from Anchorage to Talkeetna, Whittier, and Seward!
Whittier
Check the time of day you can go through the tunnel, it is one way and runs every 30 minutes. There are plenty of hikes to go to here, my favorite is Portage Glacier Hike!
Prince William Sound - Glacier Cruises from Whittier
There are so many options to see glaciers and wildlife! Half day excursions and more! Check out the website for options and packages! Check out taking the railroad to your destination! https://www.alaskarailroad.com/
Alaska SeaLife Center
Seward is another cute town about 2.5 hours south of Anchorage. Again, many many hikes on the way down. I like camping at Miller's Landing and getting a kayak tour w/ 2 mile hike! There are hotels available there. And fishing.

Zipline w/ Stoney Creek! Dan and I had so much fun!
Homer
Get a charter to go halibut fishing, or just come to relax in town, or do some camping. This is about a 4 hour drive out of town,, but the views are spectacular! Check out the board walk at Homer Spit!
Bear Creek Winery and Lodge
Gotta love the local wineries! great place to hang out if you are down in Homer.
