A friendship was started at a Bear Catholic student-led church retreat in college. Aaron was staffing the event and Mikayla was attending. We became good friends after this. The following March, COVID hit and everyone went home. Instead of growing apart, we just grew closer. When we got back to school, we started dating and the rest is history!

Shortly after our 3 year anniversary, Aaron set up a beautiful dinner overlooking the Grand Valley. During the dinner, he set up a spot for us to take pictures as a couple, but instead of joining me for a picture, he dropped to one knee and proposed. Of course, I said YES! And of course we got it all on camera. We celebrated afterwards with a surprise party he put together with our friends and family. Best day ever. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in July!
