Use Kayak.com to compare prices and find the best flights. Most flights will have 1-2 layovers and may not be direct. An ideal flight should be 8-9 hours total (including flight time and layovers). If you find a flight that is 13+ hours, please message us before booking. If pricing seems too high, contact Maria at (519) 981-9450 for assistance. If you want, feel free to book your flights separately from Detroit to Florida, and then catch your direct flight to Medellín from either Fort Lauderdale, Miami, or Orlando. These airports are the biggest hubs for travel to Colombia. Book whatever works best for you. Airport Transportation For a convenient and reliable way to get to Novotel, we recommend booking your shuttle service directly through the hotel. They offer affordable transportation—just mention you’d like to book a shuttle when reserving your room. Other Options: Uber is a reliable alternative. Order your Uber after crossing immigration and wait inside, as there are taxi vendors outside the airport. Ubers pick up from the second floor of the airport. Booking Tips Round-Trip Service: To ensure a smooth departure, we recommend booking a round-trip shuttle service in advance. Let us know if you need any help with planning. Please keep in mind that this is international travel. You will need to go through immigration upon arrival in Colombia, and on your return flight, you will go through both immigration and TSA again.

Shuttles Will Be Provided For: 🚐 Welcome Party – To and from Novotel 💍 Wedding Day – To and from the venue 🏖️ Pool Party – To and from Novotel Wedding Day Shuttle Schedule 🔹 From Hotel to Wedding Venue: Shuttles will begin departing from Novotel at 1:45 PM on the wedding day. 🔹 From Reception to Hotel: The first shuttle back to Novotel will depart at 11:00 PM. Important: Check-Mig Form This step is extremely important! We’ve seen travelers nearly miss their flights or be forced to complete this form at the airport before being allowed to board. All travelers must complete the Check-Mig Form within 72 hours before their flight to Colombia. This is a mandatory requirement by Migración Colombia. ✅ You will find the form available in English for easy completion. 🚨 Most airlines will not allow you to check in until this form is submitted. If you find yourself being charged in USD, please call Maria before making any purchases—though this is uncommon. Google Translate: While Medellín is a popular tourist destination and many people speak some English, having Google Translate on hand can be helpful if you run into any language barriers. Holafly: Depending on your phone plan, if Colombia isn’t covered, we recommend using Holafly. It offers an eSIM that you can activate before you travel, ensuring you have access to phone lines, texts, and data throughout your stay.
