Flight

Dublin or Shannon Airport

The Republic of Ireland has two international airports, Dublin and Shannon. Direct flights are offered daily between Boston or New York to both Dublin and Shannon airport. These airports are also serviced by several airlines from London and other European cities. We typically fly Aer Lingus for international travel into Ireland and British Airway or Ryan Air (budget dependent) from London. If you are renting a car, the venue is approximately ~1 hour by car from Shannon airport. If you are flying into Dublin airport, the journey is ~2 hours by car.

Car Rentals

Cars can be rented from Dublin airport and Shannon airport. There are several rental companies to choose from. Americans - please ensure you book an automatic car. Most cars rented in Ireland are manuals, so be mindful when booking.

Train

Travel by train

If you are traveling to the venue by public transport, we suggest flying into Dublin Airport. You can take a taxi or airport shuttle to Dublin Heuston train station. At the station, take the A224 Cork to Ballybrophy. From Ballybrophy, take A464 Limerick to Cloughjordan. You can travel from Cloughjoran station to Cloughjordan house by walk (20 minutes) or by car (4 minutes). The journey by public transport is ~3 hours Our venue is also reachable by public transport from Shannon, however it is not a direct route (~3.5 hours, includes bus & train). A recently refurbished Georgian Home located two doors away from CJH. This is a beautiful period home with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a third toilet. It has a spacious kitchen and living area. It is not wheelchair accessible as there are steps up to the front door, just to point this out. A breakfast box is supplied. Day two celebration in Athlone

Our day two will be held in Aaron's hometown of Athlone. This is ~1 hour from our wedding venue. We have provided several local options for accommodation below.

In Athlone for the day two, we recommend the Radisson Blu Hotel for guest who plan to attend the day two. They currently require a minimum two night stay, however you can book a single night with them using our room block code.
