While she may strike you as a goofy person at first, if you get to know KC, you will come to realize that she is in fact wayyyy goofier than you initially thought. Sami and Kasey go back to the dark trenches of Nuclear power school, where they bonded over shared misery, beach volleyball, and exploring Charleston. Through that, and every season of life since, Kasey has remained a light in the tough times and the first person to celebrate with you in the good times. Her energy, spirit, and love for her friends are as strong as her extremely bad taste in men. Here’s to the Maid of Honor, may we be old ladies drinking wine on rocking chairs someday.

Soon-to-be Doctor Magnuson and my most educated friend, Jennifer is someone who lives her lives for others. She is also one of the most joyous people you will ever meet! Jennifer and Sami became fast friends when they met at the pinnacle of high school cool-ness, marching band camp. Through the years she has never failed to be a listening ear and an example for others. She appreciates cute cows, vegan ice cream, and goofy photo shoots. Thanks for being an incredible friend!

While her initials may have changed, she will always be Eggy in our hearts <3 Emily and Sami grew up in the same neighborhood but it wasn’t until high school when they became besties! She’s a real-life engineer, loving cat mom, and a connoisseur of only the finest boxed mac and cheese. More importantly she is one of my truest friends, and I value her perspective and advice more than most people I know! She lives her life with intention, and I am so thankful for her friendship.

Alex probably reads more books per year than most people have read in their entire life!! Sami’s college roommate and lifelong friend, Alex is one of the most genuine and hardworking people you will meet. Behind her quiet demeanor is usually a well-timed comeback or a wry joke that catches you off guard. She has also been by Sami's side all the way from the crush phase through receiving the phone call that they were engaged. Through good times and bad, Alex has been a steadfast friend and it's an honor to have her in our lives.

When Sami was in desperate need of a place to live, Victoria was crazy enough to agree to be roommates with a total stranger, and the rest is history! I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Victoria without a smile on her face or actively trying to make others smile. I also don’t think I have ever seen her slow down- she has superhuman work ethic, elite Strava stats, and is one of the most caring friends you will ever know. Cheers to this wonderful human, may everyone be blessed with a friend like her.

Through some of the toughest years of Sami's life (...the USS Louisiana...) Kim was there through it all. She was they type of friend who everyone needs - commiserate through the bad times and lift each other up through the good. Despite everything, Kim never let it get her down, being an inspiration to her friends and sailors. Kim is also possibly the world's biggest Young the Giant fan, a caring mother of two amazing hedgehogs (may they Rest in Peace), and someone who always puts her family and loved ones first. We are so lucky to have Kim in our lives. P.S. She bakes a mean macaroon.
