FAMOUS for their hotdogs and cheap eats. This hole in the wall is a landmark in Rachel and Aaron's hometown of Watervliet. If you are staying in the Capital District you have to make a trip over!
DeFazio's Pizza, Troy NY
After a rave review from Barstool Sport's CEO and Pizza Review legend Dave Portnoy, you'll be lucky to get an order in at this pizza place-- but its worth the wait! Authentic Italian wood fire pizza- great for the classics but they also put out some incredible weekly specials. *Note from Rachel- if you go, grab a piece of the Hangover Cake-- life changing*
Big Nic's Pizzeria
By far one of our favorite local pizza places. Their pizza slices are huge (think NYC style). They also put out a Pocket Pizza which is a combination of garbage bread and pizza that is pretty awesome. One of our favorite specialty pies here is the Italian Mixed.
Caffe Italia Ristorante
This is where we had our very FIRST DATE! Aaron reserved the window seat (best seat) in the house.. .and the rest was history. We return to the scene of the crime every year on Valentine's day. Small 'mom and pop' restaurant with authentic Italian food.
