Our story already has 13 years on the books. We met in 2012 in Lexington, Kentucky. We had mutual friends that would go to karaoke nights in downtown Lexington on Thursdays. One night we decided to sing Tubthumping together and we felt a connection. The next time our mutual friends got together to celebrate Aaron’s birthday. That night Aaron walked Melissa home and nervously dropped her off, unsure of what to do, he came back 5 minutes later to give her a kiss. Our first date was a Shakespeare in the Park performance of Midsummers Night on July 15, 2012, which we have celebrated as our anniversary since then, until next year! We have gone to concerts, camping trips, travelled to new cities, seen so much Art and ate so much good food over the years. We’ve also moved states, earned degrees, started new jobs, gone through health issues and grieved furbabies and family side by side. We are so happy to have our family and friends to witness our love story. We are ready for what the future has in store for us.
