What's the weather like in December?

Answer

December weather in South Lake Tahoe has highs of 44°F and lows of 26°F. It also averages 36 inches of snow! Perfect for skiing, not so much for driving. Bundle up and drive safe!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

No later than 5 minutes before the ceremony is scheduled to begin -- we may add only a few additional minutes to the ceremony start time as we are being respectful of those who arrived early.

How far is the Wedding venue to the Reception venue?

Answer

The Wedding will be at the First Baptist Church. This church is one mile away from the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel (4-5 min drive).

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The wedding is at the First Baptist Church and has 28 parking spots -- please share rides if possible! The reception is at the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel, which does not own open parking for guests. However, there are still parking options that are safe and reliable. -- Underground parking garage is available 24/7 by valet service for $29/day. -- Guests may self-park in a public parking garage located two blocks from the hotel for easy access. When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We would appreciate your RSVP by November 1. We will reach out once to you prior to sending our final numbers by Thanksgiving. After that, please bring your own sandwich and chair :')

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you received an invitation with no presumed plus one or children accompanying you, feel free to bring them too 👍. Be sure to inform us on your RSVP of their name and if they have any dietary restrictions.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel is where the reception will be and there are distinct hotels that offer shuttles to the airport (see travel page on our website for details), but there are a myriad of hotels along the block that you could just walk across the street to catch the shuttle or go to the reception. Stay where you like!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course! We are having a buffet, so you should be able to customize your meal, but please let us know in your RSVP if you have distinct dietary restrictions or allergies.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

While we ask you to dress nicely, we understand that the weather will be cold. Most of our events are indoors - please do your best to dress warmly and let us know if this will be a concern.

Children are welcome -- In your RSVP please let us know how old they are.
