The wedding festivities will begin on Thursday, September 11. If you would like to join us for the jeep safari around Sintra Thursday morning, we suggest you arrive to Lisbon and/or Sintra by the evening of Wednesday, September 10.
Please fly into Lisbon's international airport, the Humberto Delgado Airport. Just 25-30 minutes from Sintra.
Sintra is ~25 miles and between 25-30 minutes from the Lisbon Airport (Humberto Delgado Airport). However, we recommend accounting for some extra travel time as many roads in Sintra are one way roads, and slow moving traffic can result in longer travel times. When you land in Lisbon, we suggest using Uber or Bolt (ride sharing apps) to travel to Sintra.
We encourage our guests to book one of the hotel options that we have included on the Hotel Tab of our website. These accommodations have been curated to keep us close to our cherished friends and family during these special days and allow us to facilitate transportation for all guests to the wedding festivities.
You do not need to rent a car and we actually suggest against it. We recommend you use either Uber or Bolt (Portugal's other ride share app), which will work in both Sintra and Lisbon.
For the ceremony and reception, the dress code will be black tie. For men, a tuxedo is preferred--but if you don't have a tuxedo, a black suit also works. For the ladies, a formal floor length gown (color is encouraged!)--block heels or wedges are also recommended as the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside. The ceremony will be followed by an extended cocktail hour and reception. All events will be hosted on-site.
Yes, we will be providing roundtrip transportation from nearby accommodations to our wedding venue.
Please visit the RSVP tab to submit your response by April 12, 2025. This will help us tremendously through the planning process.
If you choose to rent a car, note there is no parking available at the venue. We will be coordinating group transportation options to/from the venue as well. A detailed transportation schedule for the evening will be provided on our website closer to the wedding day.
The weather in Sintra in mid-September is pleasant and mild, with average temperatures falling between 59-76 degrees Fahrenheit. As it is a transition period from the warmer summer months to the fall season, evenings tend to be cooler so we advise packing accordingly with options to layer.
