Celebrate with us!

After traveling the world and United States, and settling down back home on the East Coast, we're finally tying the knot! Celebrate our 7 years of best-friendship and the life we look forward to in our marriage and joining of families and friends. RSVP by March 5, 2025. How we met: We first crossed paths during a 2016 design program in Copenhagen. Aaron thought Eliisa's pants were bizarre, and Eliisa assumed Aaron was an anti-social computer nerd. Only half of that was true—turns out, Aaron could be pretty charming when he wasn’t laser-focused on his laptop. By the time we hit a field trip to Sweden and Finland, we were actually enjoying each other's company, with Eliisa, the half-Finnish tour guide, showing Aaron around a place that meant a lot to her. Aaron quickly decided he wanted to marry her and asked her to go frisbee-golfing repeatedly, to which she kindly said, "no, thanks." Fast forward a year to when Eliisa was in grad school in Sweden and Aaron in art school in Spain, Aaron and Eliisa reconnected and had a date that ended up lasting forever. By Summer 2023, Aaron was ready to propose. He pretended not to want to visit Eliisa’s family for July 4th, while secretly working with his sister, Regan, to design a ring. In Finland, at Eliisa’s family cabin, on a rainy Nordic day in August, Aaron nervously stoked a fire, raising Eliisa’s suspicions. When the moment came, Aaron gave a heartfelt speech, Jerry (Eliisa’s dad) filmed raindrops by accident, and Tarja (her mom) stumbled as Aaron got on one knee. The result? Hilarious footage and a soggy, perfect proposal.
