In light of COVID, we have decided to postpone our wedding to March 15, 2022 in hopes that we will be on the other side of the pandemic by then.
Both the Byrne and Day families have Irish ancestors, but we've never had the chance to visit! Also, our first date was on St. Patrick's Day, which makes the location even more full circle.
We hope that most guests will use our wedding as an excuse to travel throughout Ireland or Europe, and we understand that you may need to have kids with you on the trip to make this possible. The rehearsal dinner and wedding will be adults only, but Cloughjordan House has provided us with a vetted list of local nannies who can babysit on-site. Let us know if you would like us to share that with you.
We highly recommend that you stay at Cloughjordan House, as that is where all of the action will be! Cloughjordan House has accommodations for all guests in attendance. To confirm you would like on-site housing arrangements made for you at Cloughjordan House, please RSVP to this option. On-site accommodation options include The Coach House, The Dairy, The Cowshed, and a select number of Glamping Pods. The newly restored Coach House offers six luxurious and charming bedrooms, while in the grounds, the old dairy yard is now home to 22 cozy en-suite rooms. No two rooms are the same and all feature quirky touches. Natural woods, deep beds, and locally-woven woollen rugs create a natural look and feel, next to a comfy common area for guests to relax and chat. The glamping area in the walled garden has 9 newly-arrived wooden “pod” cabins, offering Scandinavian comfort and style. If you have a preference for one of these, please let us know.
