Where is the ceremony?

Our wedding ceremony will take place at The Remedy Church - 131 South High Street, Akron, Ohio.

Where should I park?

Answer

Convenient parking is available in the 132 S. High St. Parking Deck and the 120 S. Broadway St. Parking Deck. Keep your deck ticket in your car and you’ll receive a free parking voucher at The Remedy Church entrance to use when you exit the parking deck.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Guests should plan to arrive 20–30 minutes before the ceremony begins to allow time for parking and seating. Doors will open at 4pm with the ceremony starting promptly at 4:30pm

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal, with guests encouraged to wear elegant shades of blue. Cocktail dresses, midi or floor-length dresses, and refined attire are welcome. Men are encouraged to wear a suit jacket.

Will there be a reception?

Following the ceremony, the couple will be hosting a small private dinner reception for immediate family only.

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adult celebration. Children are invited by special invitation only, as indicated on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy a wonderful evening celebrating with us.

Is the ceremony unplugged?

Answer

Yes. We kindly ask guests to silence their phones and refrain from taking photos during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present.

How long will the ceremony last?

Answer

The ceremony will last approximately 30–40 minutes.

What will happen after the ceremony?

Answer

Following the ceremony, there will be a brief opportunity for congratulations and photos. The couple will then depart for a private dinner reception with immediate family. Additional details will be provided within the RSVP for those invited to this intimate gathering.

Can I bring a gift?

Answer

Your presence means the world to us. If you would like to celebrate us with a gift, you are welcome to do so. We have also created a registry for your convenience.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ve gathered a few recommended hotel options to make your stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Hotels available for you to book your room include Residence Inn by Marriott Akron Fairlawn, DoubleTree by Hilton Akron Fairlawn, Holiday Inn Express Akron, and Homewood Suites by Hilton. The closest airports are Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and Akron-Canton Airport.

Can we take photos with the couple?

After the ceremony there will be a brief moment for congratulations and photos before the couple leaves for their family dinner reception.

What if I arrive late?

Out of respect for the ceremony, late arrivals may be asked to wait briefly before being seated.

If you have any questions leading up to the wedding or on the day of the event, feel free to text the bride or groom.

If you are unable to attend, please let us know by updating your RSVP or reaching out to the couple so we can plan accordingly.

Yes. We plan to begin the ceremony promptly, so we kindly ask guests to arrive 20–30 minutes early to allow time for parking and seating.

What is the best entrance to the church?

Answer

Guests may enter through the main entrance of The Remedy Church on South High Street, where ushers will be available to assist with seating. Guests may also access the venue through the rear entrance via the Broadway Street parking deck.
