Getting to Italy
Malpensa Airport (Milan, Italy) is the most convenient option for internation flights and is a short uber or train ride to Lake Como. Other options inlude Linate Airport (Milan, Italy) and Zurich Airport (Zurich, Switzerland). Zurich Airport is a three hour train ride to Lake Como.

Getting to Lake Como
There are trains available that will take you from the airports listed above to Como train stations. If you're flying to Malpensa Airport (Milan, Italy) note that you'll need to transfer trains at the Saronno train station. If you're flying to Linate Airport (Milan, Italy) you can shuttle to Milano Centrale train station and take a train to Como S. Giovanni train station. If you're flying to Zurich Airport (Zurich, Switzerland) you'll take a a scenic train ride through the Glarus Alpls in Switzerland and Italy. You'll need to transfer trains at Zurich HB train station. Included is a helpful link for planning train routes.
