Lansing Airport is significantly closer to the wedding location, however the flights are usually more expensive. For a cheaper option, look at DTW and Michigan Flyer options to get you into the Lansing Area

Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW)
DTW is the airport hub of Michigan. Rental cars can be purchased from DTW or use the Michigan Flyer to get you into East Lansing.

Parking
MSU Alumni Memorial Chapel - Event parking is available in Lot #9, free of charge. Grand Ledge Opera House - The Opera House parking lot will accommodate 45 vehicles. Across the street from the Opera House there is a City parking lot which can also be used along with street parking. Both lots are free of charge and have the option of vehicles being left over night. All locations have accessible parking available.

Michigan Flyer
The Michigan Flyer operates out of both terminals of DTW and will shuttle you to downtown East Lansing should you be flying into DTW and not wanting to rent a car. Do check the times as they have decreased in the last few years.

Marriott East Lansing at University Place
For those wishing to stay closer to the MSU Alumni Memorial Chapel ceremony location, we have a block of rooms reserved at the Marriott in East Lansing. The wedding party will be staying here Friday and Saturday nights. The group rate of $159 has expired its original cutoff date, but it may be possible to get the wedding rate by calling the number below and asking to be added to Alina and Aaron wedding block. Amanda of the Marriott East Lansing: (517) 337-4440 ex.114 The Marriott provides a complementary shuttle to and from the Lansing Airport. Additionally the Michigan Flyer drop off location from the Detroit Airport is right out front of the Marriott.
