Things To Do

There is no shortage of things to do in NYC. If you've never been, there are obviously the classic activities like seeing the Statue of Liberty, going to the top of the Empire State Building, seeing a show on Broadway, etc. But here are some of our personal recommendations of things to do that we have loved doing and are especially good if you've been here before and want to try something new! And yes, a lot of them revolve around food. Feel free to ask us for any specific recommendations as well!
Smorgasburg Williamsburg

Smorgasburg Williamsburg

90 Kent Avenue, Williamsburg, NY 11211

If you're in Williamsburg for the weekend, check out Smorgasburg on Saturday for a literal feast!

Governor's Island

Governor's Island

New York, NY 11231

If you've been to NYC before and feel like you've done all the classic stuff, we highly recommend taking a short ferry to Governor's Island. It's an abandoned base with entire barracks and gorgeous houses that have all been left as they were. It's extremely peaceful and eerie at the same time. You can walk the whole island thanks to its paved pathways and you can also rent bikes to cycle around. There's a small hike that takes you to the top of the island for amazing views. There's plenty of food options too and sometimes they have pop up markets as well! We go multiple times a year and it's one of our favorite places in NYC.

Tin Building by Jean-Georges

Eataly NYC Flatiron

Eataly NYC Flatiron

200 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10010

Another amazing spot for amazing food, Eataly is definitely worth a visit if you're feeling hungry or want to take some foodie souvenirs home for later!

Brooklyn Bridge Park

Brooklyn Bridge Park

New York, NY 11201

Take a stroll down our street (Joralemon St) to the bottom and see why we have been living in our tiny apartment for over 3 years. The Piers in Brooklyn Heights are a landscaping heaven. Take a gorgeous walk from Brooklyn Heights all the way to Brooklyn Bridge Park in Dumbo along the river and through the "woods". It's truly an escape from the hustle and bustle. We highly recommend exploring Pier 6 and Pier 3 on your way!
