As brothers, Kalen and Aaron first met in February 1997 with Aaron's birth. Their childhood was filled with imaginative games, hours spent on Need for Speed and Super Smash Bros. Melee, and lively debates that ranged from the meaning of life to the extremely trivial. Their shared love for skiing, chess, and deep discussion continues to this day. Currently, Kalen is pursuing his Ph.D. in Bioengineering at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Jessica and Katie met in college when they lived a couple dorms apart freshman year and quickly became friends and later roommates along side Faryn until we graduated. Jessica was always up for a quick Starbucks run or taking a walk to catch a new legendary in Pokémon GO. Now Katie and Faryn take visits up to see her in Columbus where they love doing Bob Ross paint and sips, playing Mario Party, and playing with Jessica's dog Cleo!
Nick Kiser

The friendship between Nick, Aaron, and Kalen began way back in 2005 at Leaves of Learning, quickly solidifying through countless hours of goofing off and playing The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords on their GameBoys. Over two decades, their shared love for games has led to everything from blockading Australia in Risk to cornering the resource market in the French RPG Dofus. While countless moments stand out, one unforgettable adventure was their 2016 backpacking trip to climb Mt. Marcy in the Adirondacks, where they were abruptly awakened in the middle of the night by a bear rummaging through their camp supplies.
Faryn Dumont

Faryn chose Katie to be her freshman year college roommate through the University of Cincinnati's roommate matching system because of their shared interest in Nintendo video games like Pokémon and Zelda. They continued being roommates throughout college and love attending anime conventions together where Faryn typically cosplays Itto and Katie cosplays Kokomi from the game Genshin Impact! Faryn is a very talented artist and baker and is making Aaron and Katie's wedding cake!
Alec Green

Alec and Aaron’s friendship began at Leaves of Learning in 2011, solidifying during a study hall period where they dove deep into discussions on philosophy. Their bond is cemented by a shared enjoyment of strategy games, including chess, Age of Mythology, and Civilization. In 2019, they moved into an apartment together downtown, creating a hub for lively dinner parties and board-game nights, and enjoying the city nightlife.
Maddy Sena

Maddy and Katie met because they were the only two freshman on the University of Cincinnati Equestrian Team's Western team and were frequently seated together at the back of the van when traveling for competitions. They quickly became great friends and have great memories going out to get doughnuts on their Sunday dates (also known as Sun-dates). Dr. Maddy Sena now lives out in Seattle pursing her dream of being a veterinarian!
Parker Kain

Parker and Aaron first met in June 2019 when they both joined 84.51 through the Data Science Development Program. Their friendship quickly blossomed through memorable dinner parties, intense board game nights, and epic Dungeons & Dragons campaigns with Max. In early 2020, just as the pandemic hit, Parker, Alec, and Aaron became roommates, forming an pretty ideal "bubble" that included a steady routine of working, hitting the climbing gym, and unwinding with games of StarCraft II.
Gabi Broton

Gabi and Katie met through the University of Cincinnati's Equestrian team and attended many competitions and practices together. After graduating, they traveled all the way to South Africa to ride horses amongst Giraffes and Zebras and they have future plans to travel to Iceland to ride there too! Gabi is also a great weekly gym buddy and having someone to suffer together with makes the experience way more enjoyable. .
Max Mullin

Max and Aaron first crossed paths at Ohio University through mutual friends, growing closer while working together at 84.51. Living downtown, Max was a frequent host of dinner parties and led some crazy Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. They enjoy a wide array of games, from the chaotic fun of Unrailed! and Overcooked to the strategic depths of Offworld Trading Company. A particularly cherished memory is attending Max's family's annual "pumpkin launch," where they launch pumpkins hundreds of feet from a homemade 16-foot trebuchet.
