Question

What will the schedule of the wedding look like?

Answer

It will start at 11 AM with a cocktail hour and Kabbalas Panim or “Receiving of the Faces,” during which the bride at the Bedekin (“covering”) and groom at the Tisch (“table”) greet their wedding guests and are positioned in their respective rooms--fittingly--as royalty. There will also be tons of delicious food, so this part of the day is also called a “Shmorg” (because there’s literally a smorgasbord of food). After an hour, Aaron will process to Ari from the Tisch and then to the Chuppah (ceremony) with all singing "Od Yishama B'Arei Yehuda," "again there will be heard in the cities of Judah and the streets of Jersualem the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride." (You can practice singing here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piDsoVDEIok). Ari will be danced out of the room, after which the ceremony ("Chuppah") will begin. After the Chuppah, all proceed to a festive reception that ends at 4:30 PM.
