Officiant
One of those friends, Jonathan Williams was always a catalyst in our coming together and for that reason, we asked him to officiate our wedding. We figured he had some extra time to spare between being a newspaper editor, running half-marathons, and participating in his local orchestra group.
Maid of Honor
I can only somethimes tell our baby photos apart... I still think Mom is lying when she says she can.
Best Man
Since some people have had trouble in the past- No, Robert and I are not twins, nor are we brothers. You can tell us apart in photographs because I will be the one actually smiling.
Bridesmaid
Dad, Sorry Jack and I ruined the grass with a slip-n-slide every summer in high school. Who would of thought those long swim practices (and peeing in the pool) would have yeilded a life long friendship.
Groomsman
I met Rhys on my first day at Linfield College at a team meeting for soccer tryouts. We, along with two other freshmen hopefuls, decided to skip team bowling that night in favor of kicking a ball around. We were all chided, and the other two eventually got cut while Rhys and I thankfully made the team. After soccer practice, we would make our daily pilgrimage to the game room and play ping pong. Rhys, thank you for being my ping pong punching bag all those years.
Bridesmaid
One day on the way to the pumpkin patch with the Linfield College Swim Team, Claire and I discovered that we swam against each other at our high school district swim meet and we skied/snowboarded at Stevens Pass for years without ever running into each other. Thus, a friendship filled with swimming, skiing, studying, Cheetos, more studying (nursing school, ugh!), and adventures was born!
Groomsman
The one who will school you at a history trivia game and a roller skating race.
Bridesmaid
The original dinner buddy. We've cooked many meals together in college, with her Mom in Idaho, with my family aboard the Akorn, and on our road trip to Utah. Now, time for a wedding dinner!
Groomsman
You can't help but trust Ben, even if that trust leads you into a truck sliding on the ice towards a ditch. (Nothing bad happened and Ben nervously laughed it off). You trust Ben because you believe he has your best interest at heart and life is just more exciting that way.
Bridesmaid
One day, Delia took Abigail (age 4) and I (age 6) on a walk and we ran into Haley on the street and invited her to come with us. Haley's mom, Cathy, for some reason let her go with us two little kids and Delia, who only spoke Spanish. We came back later that afternoon and have been friends ever since!
