FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at the venue between 3:45-4. The ceremony will start promptly at 4:15.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But, this will be an adults only event.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please note to whom your invitation is addressed. Only names indicated on the formal invitation are invited guests.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

During the ceremony we invite you to be fully present. Therefore, we request no personal cameras or phones be used. During the reception we invite you capture fun moments throughout the night, and share them on social media with our hastags: #matchmadeinEvans #4EvansandAlways

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

We encourage you to take Uber or Lyft. After the reception we invite everyone to participate in a traditional New Orleans Second Line down the Levee. We will end the second line at the Algiers Point Ferry, and take the trip across the river to downtown New Orleans. From there we can continue the celebration! If you do decide to drive there is plenty of street parking available. Never seen or heard of second line? Check this video out and get excited: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHuuOMtYXn0

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We would like everyone to come in cocktail attire. However, our ceremony and most of our reception will take place outdoors. Keep track of the New Orleans weather, and prioritize wearing something in which you will feel the most comfortable! We suggest a suit and tie or a button-up, tie and slacks for men. (Gentlemen: if you need a cooler option dress shorts are welcome!) And a cocktail dress or jumpsuit for women. (Ladies: we recommend a wedge/block heel or flats/sandals for our venue and walking around the streets of New Orleans)

Question

Is there a registry?

Answer

We appreciate you traveling to our favorite city, to celebrate our love. Your presence is our gift. However, we be honored if you would contribute to our honeyfund. (Located on the registry tab of the website.)

Question

What type of reception are you having?

Answer

New Orleans is a party city so we will be having a cocktail style reception! What does this mean? Basically once we say "I do," the party begins! Drinks will be flowing, appetizers will be passed, and the buffet will open shortly. We invite you to eat, drink, and be merry all night! Our DJ will alert you when special moments are happening.
