Under Emperor Cuomo's executive orders, we are limited to the number of guests we can invite to our ceremony and reception. Maximum of 50 guests, including us, at the reception. Maximum of 100 guests at church. This is 25% of the church's capacity. Guests are required to wear masks at all times and maintain social distancing. Guests are strongly encouraged to stay home if they are feeling ill. We can always celebrate with you another time.
Masks must be worn at all times. Every other pew will be roped off. Please sit only with members of your household and maintain a distance of six feet when possible. Holy Water fonts will be left empty. In order to reflect both the Church’s great reverence for the Eucharist, while also providing appropriate precautions against infection, Bishop Barres has decided that Holy Communion in the Diocese of Rockville Centre will be distributed after Mass has ended. The faithful should remove any face coverings immediately before receiving Holy Communion. Holy Communion may not be distributed with gloves, nor may it be received in the hand if a member of the faithful is wearing gloves. Hand hygiene is effective against the virus. In these circumstances, gloves are not needed if the priest performs hand hygiene. Communion may be received on the tongue; the Eucharistic minister will use the hand sanitizer after each communicant who receives on the tongue.
Unfortunately, we are limited to only 50 guests at our reception, including ourselves. While we would love to have everyone celebrate this joyous occasion with us, we are unable to invite most.
If you value your happiness, you should refrain.
